About the Position
Nuru's mission is to provide 5 million people with world-class energy and connectivity services by 2024. Founded in 2015, the company is now entering a rapid growth phase. The community liaison team is one half of the environment and social governance department which plays a central role in ensuring effective engagement with communities around Nuru’s sites ensuring the company’s compliance with its environmental commitments and IFC Performance Standards. The community liaison team will work hand in hand with the occupational health and safety team towards these objectives.
Nuru is looking for a community liaison officer in Bunia who is an exceptional communicator with a strong ability to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and run effective consultation processes and contribute to a successful team along with achieving set goals in a fast-paced environment.
The CLO role will be responsible for initiating and leading on a range of community and stakeholder engagement tools, techniques and activities.
